  1. There was a man in the village of Grallagh named Martin Monaghan and he was supposed to be the strongest man in the parish of Menlough. He was a very stout man and he could cut two acers of oats in one day with a scythe.
    He used to walk to Woodlawn a distance of about 14 miles from his house every day when he was 20 years of age. He also knew a lot of stories about the people long ago.
    This man died three years ago and everybody was very sorry for him.
