Some local weather signs which people believe to be true are - To see a dog eating grass. Bad weather.
To see a ass run and roar at the same time. Bad weather.
To hear the crickets sing very sharply.
Bad weather.
To hear the train whistling very plainly in the distance. Good weather.
If the moon is looking pale or dim. rain will soon come.
And if the moon has a reddish colour it is a sign of wind.
If the crickets go far from the fire it is the sign of good weather.
To see the cat with her back to the fire is the sign of snow.
Heard around the fireside at home.
