Turkeys: Pea, Pea
Geese are called by saying: "Goosie goosie." They are chased away by saying "Shileg Shileg
*These names are spelled phonetically, i.e. the children have attempted to spell them as approximately as they could to what they hear said.
Other animals are called by their colours. Poultry are fed twice a day, when the days are short and three times a day in the long days.
The farm animals, except pigs, are left outside day and night in the Summer. In the winter they are kept inside.
- When a person is "setting" a dozen of eggs, it is customary to put in one extra for luck.
When a person is driving cows into a field, he or she says "Turas Leat" - Informant
