  1. St Brigid's day falls on the second of February and it is a very old custom to make crosses on the eve and hang them out of the roof. St Patrick's day falls on the 17th of March the feast of our national apostle. Irish en and women all over the world love to wear the shamrock on that day. It is a old custom on Hallowe' en, for boys to pull cabbage heads and to go around from house to house banging the doors with the cabbage and the man of the house chased them and then the boys enjoyed that joke.
