  1. The Big Wind of 1839. It was in the Autumn and the hay was saved but it was not carted into the yard. It tossed fifty rucks belonging to Mr Algeo.
    There was a great storm in Leitrim about fifty year ago.
    It blew down trees and hay-stacks.
    There was a snow storm a few years ago. The snow was up to the telegraph poles in place's and everyone was held up and no motors or lorries could travel. There was thunder
