    San mbliadhain 1839 bhí stoirm an-mhór ann. Leag sí tighthe agus crainnte agus claidheacha. Tugtar doineann ar droch-aimsir agus soineann ar aimir bhreagh. Deirtear go mbíonn an cat ag sgriobhadh coise an bhuird nuair a bhíos stoirm ag teacht. Nuair a chítear dath an runnaigh ar an spéir deirtear nach mbeadh sé tirim acht dhá uair déag. Tá sean-fhocal ag baint leis an droch-aimsir - Idir Nodlag agus Féil Bhrighde feanntar na caoirigh.
