There is a chap in Chapel St named William Reynolds. One bright night he went out to get firewood. He went into a field and cut a lone thorn bush. When he was about to come home he could not get out of the field, and he had to wait until the next morning to get home.
My great-grand-father told me this story:- An old man was walking down along King banks one night and he heard a leaprea. He asked him for his gold. He said "The Lady behind you has it". The man turned his head and the Leipreacán was gone.Collected by John Corry
