    Local Song (1)
My name is Tommy Allen a man that's very well known,
I live at the corner of High Street in a business of my own,
A man came in the other day ad for some clothes to buy,
I showed him come at two and six, that's the price said I
He took his off, and fitted them on,
And was going to walk away,
Till I tapped him on the shoulder,
Saying -"My man you did not pay,"
He turned around and looked at me,
And up with his fist he drew,
And he doubled me up in a corner,
Saying "that's the place for you,"
And from that day until this night,
    I never shall forget,
For I'm doing a rattling business in,
    My Old Pawn-shop.
