    came in and told the old man that there was a big cow in the byre. She said "will I hunt her away". "No" the old man said "take out your milk buckets and milk her". So she filled two big milk buckets. The cow stayed there for a week and the daughter was always waiting for the owner to come. At last she thought it was better to hunt the cow away. When she hunted the cow out of the byre she came in again herself. The third time she hunted her out the cow disappeared and never was seen again. It was the fairies that sent the cow to the old man to give him milk.
