    26th July. The apple fair is on the 8th September. The holiday fair is on the 18th of November and the Christmas fair is on December.
    When an animal is sold the halter is given along with it.
    There used to be a fair held out in Achawheel hill. This fair was held beside Achawheel loch behind Glen hill near Sledrin Glen.
    There used to be a meeting held at Achawheel loch too.

  2. In olden times there was a fair in a place called Black Mountain and the men would take sheep and cows and horses. If a sheep was been sold the man that owned the sheep would put red paint on it for a mark. Some people clips the side of the wool of the sheep to mark them. Sometimes a man could tie a bit of cloth on the cows horn to mark his cow. In olden times there was a fair at Shandrum cross roads. This fair was held for the people of the townland of Shandrum.
