- A bottle of holy water is kept hanging on the wall of the cowhouse to bring luck, and when some of the people are finished milking they put a cross of milk on the cows for luck.
The horse is fed on boiled turnips and flour is mixed through them. The sign of the cross is put on eggs for hatching and holy water is sprinkled on them. - Scraping Hens is a girls game. The girls all gather up in a big line holding on to one another. The first girl is called the mother. One of the girls comes up to the mother and starts scraping like a hen.
