    The way they got from the Castle was by means of a Draw-bridge which they would lift up and down as they wanted it.
    There is another old Castle right across the water on the other side in a place called Doocarrick but it is all crumbled away. It also belonged to the Mac Swines.
    The way they had of crossing to one an other was by means of a boat which they brought over and across by means of an endless chain. This chain stretched from one side to another, and they would pull the boat back and forward as they wanted it.
    There was a big Battle fought at Doocarrick between the two chiefs of the Mac Swines. The cause of the Battle was to see who would be the chief over to Donegall. there were a lot of people killed and also one of the Mac Swines.
