- There is a fort in Straide. The shape of it is round and there are white-thorn bushes growing in it. These bushes are bare because no person cuts them.
A man was coming to a fair in Foxford. It was very early. When he came near the fort he heard beautiful music and singing. He looked up and he saw race-horses going around the fort and little men riding on them. The man died with fright.
