  1. There is a holy well in Knockmore. It is beside a rock. When the old people had pains in their heads they would go to the well and dip their heads into the well, and the pain would go. There is a hawthorn bush beside the well.
    If the people had toothache or any other ailments they would rub a bit of cloth on the sore and hang it on the bush and they would never have the pain any more.
    They make a station on St Stephen's day. There is a trout in the well.
