  1. Long ago the cows thought the Winter was over when March was out. Thjey began to play and dance with delight. March got three days from April to kill the cows.
    They are called the three “Riabhach” days. The first day the “Riabhach” came it blew the horns of the cows. The second day it peeled the skin off the cows and the third day it killed the cows.
    My mother told me these days.
