  1. The fowl we keep are, hens, turkeys and ducks. We keep no geese because my father is opposed to them as he believes that land on which geese are kept is very unhealthy for cattle to graze upon and that they would not thrive well on it.
    We have three fowl houses, one for hens, one for the turkeys, and the third for the ducks.
    The turkey house is made of stone and cement and white-washed inside. There is one window and a door in it and the window can be opened at the top and bottom and this is a great advantage to the house.
