  1. Many people in this district make baskets for clothes and potatoes and they are made in the following way:-
    Get some thin garden rods and eight thick ones. Then boil them in a pot for about an hour, and then take them up and peel the skin off them.
    When this is done take four of the thick rods and split them in the middle. Then put the other four into the split and weave the thin ones around the thick until the bottom is wide enough. Then turn the rods on the bottom up, tie them on the top and resume the weaving until the rim is high enough.
