- Our churn is a plunge or upright churn. We have it seven years and my uncle, Anthony Judge, Rathkell, made it out of bogdeal.
It is three feet high and a foot and a half wide. The bottom of it is about 4 inches wider than the top.
In summer we churn oftener than in winter because the milk is more plentiful, Before my mother goes churning she washes out the churn with cold water and then washes it well with hot water and a brush. Then it is put out and aired. She takes it in and puts the cream into it(continues on next page)- Collector
