To be said before going to bed at night.
O my Queen and my Mother, bless me with they pure and holy hands that I may have a good nights rest. That I may be shielded from all vain, evil and distracting thoughts. That I may get the grace to wake be time in the morning to rise promptly and do the work that thy beloved Son has given to the care of my feeble hands.
2/I lie either on my right or left side
I pray to God to be my guide
Sweet Jesus within me,Sweet Jesus about me
The twelve apostles all around me
Four corners on my bed
Four angels overhead
Saint Matthew, Mark, Luke and John
Bless this bed that I lie on
If I die before I wake
I pray to God my soul to take
If any evil come over me
I pray Lord Jesus to deliver me3/ Jesus and Mary be ever (within) with me in the way as my good guard at all times and in every place lest I wander in by paths lest my senses or my heart be seduced by the many illusions.(continues on next page)
