  1. Old Houses
There was an old house on Hearnes farm in Whitestown long ago. A woman by the name of Bridget Galvin lived in it. It was a small house made of mud. It had a thatched roof. There was two small windows in front of the house and one in the back and a door in the front. There were two rooms in it one inside the door and the other at the left side of the kitchen. It had a clay floor and when the weather was bad it was cleaned with a shovel. The landlord evicted the people and destroyed the houses because the people were not able to pay the rent
