    in the room till they would return. On Christmas night they used to have potatoes and fish and they thought it was a feast. The people would not put sugar or milk in their tea on Ash Wednesday or they would not eat meat or eggs in Lent.
    The people used to have an acre or so of wheat and they used to to get it ground into flour. Then they would have enough flour for the whole year. Long ago they had no sweets as they have now and therefore they had better teeth and toothaches were not known
