  1. Long ago there was a young man who lived with his mother. They were very poor. One fair-day night he was coming home from the fair, when all of a sudden he heard the flutter of wings over his head. Looking up he beheld a beautiful young "colleen".
    He put up his hand and caught her cloak, and she fell to the ground at his feet. He picked her up and brought her home but she was unconscious. When she came to her self he began to ask
