  1. Once upon a time there lived together a son and his mother. Seán Amadach was the son's name. He was about twenty years and he never left the cradle. Once the king said he would give his daughter to the best storyteller.
    Shortly after a man rode by Seán Amadach's house. There was a river near by and the horse fell into it. The man could not get the horse. There were a lot of men round the horse and they could not get him.
    Seán Amadach went to the place where the horse was and took him out of the river. When he came
