  1. Once there was king and he did not let any one live over sixty years of age. There was one old man living but the king could not find him. This old man's son was working at the king. One evening the king said "I will give five pounds to the person who will tell which side of a tree will turn again the water when it is cut"
    When the boy went home he told his father. "Ah" he said "he wants to find me but go to the wood and cut a tree and cast it into the stream."
