Long ago there lived a woman in "Baile an Mhuillean" in the village of Ellamore, in the parish of Kilgarvan Co. Mayo.

One day as she was cleaning her crock for milk at the river, she threw the scrub that she had used for cleaning the crock into a bush that was near her, and at the minute her mouth turned to the back of her head. When she went home she told her husband her husband the tale, and he went to the bush and swore his oath that he would cut down the bush if the woman would not get allright, and when he gave it the first blow, her mouth came to it's right place, and the track of the hatchet was to be seen on the bush for a long time afterwards.
