    I wonder where are all my schoolmates
    Some are dead, or far and gone
    Some are weeping or in Churchyard sleeping
    Where the west wind blows with an angry moan
    I have seen the Atlantic both mild and frantic
    Swell up its waves in an angry moan
    Roll back defeated from the rocks retreated
    And I sigh, alas, for my Kerry home.
