  1. A very popular game at wakes long ago was a game called "My man John."
    This was how they used to play it: One person would say the following few lines and he'd ask a person to fill in the last line.
    "The priest of the parish has lost his considering cap.
    My man John, my man John."
    If you weren't able to give the right answer in the third line you'd be daubed with soot, or you'd have to do something which you wouldn't like to do.
