  1. Long ago they used to sink man holes in the land to bring up the brown clay and spread it on the land some of them used be over twenty feet deep. There was a young fellow down here wan day and he was trying to shift a big stone. He tried levers and everything on it but he was bet on it. Another man came over and put his arms around the stone and walked out in the road with it.
