- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)a baisin and pour into it sufficient boiling water for the poultice. Shake a handful of meal gradually into the water, stirring briskly with a knife meanwhile. Add more meal until the poultice is thick enough, without being heavy. Take it and spread it on to muslin cover it over and turn the edges. Apply immediately. If the poultice is not made in the patient's room it should be carried between two very hot plates.
- To cure a dog with fits:-
Take ten grains of potassium bromide, or about one third of of teaspoonful, in a dessert spoon-ful of water is the correct dose for a dog of terrier size. Lummal soda is, however, the nest modern remedy for fits and can be purchased in tablets at any chemists. Cure for cough in cattle.
Try this for coughs or soreness of throat in cattle: one ounce of powdered camphor, four ounces of chlorate of potash, four ounces of powdered liquroise and one pound(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile) - Bailitheoir
