- Travelling Folk.
Travelling Folk come to my house but it is very seldom we see them now. They sold pictures, mats and other small articles to the people. They used not stay in the houses at night. One night two men came in and they were selling delph. They had a bag of straw and a bag of feathers. They slept beside the fire all night, and in the morning we gave them tea and they gave tea us two cups for keeping them. They do not stay any longer than a night in one house.
They do not have food with them but they get it in the houses as they travel along. They bring an old pair of boots or a piece of bread with them when they are leaving. Those travellers travel on foot and they carry their goods in a case. Some of them travel on foot and carry their goods on an asses back.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
