There is no particular name to say to cows when driving them into the field. In our cowhouse there are three stakes sunk down into the ground and held with a beam at top. There is a ring round the stake and a chain suspended from the ring to go round the cows neck. The cow was tied by the neck. The are tied by means of a chain. If you put a whin over a cows head in a cow house it will bring them luck for the coming year. If you put an old horse shoe at a cow's head it will bring luck also.
