  1. There was a priest one time who lived beside the lake. He owned a lot of cows and cattle. One night his favourite cow was to calve, and the servant boy was minding her. The priest said he was to be sent for immediatly the cow calved. When the calf was born the servant boy never pretended but kept the calf himself.
When night came he was stealing away and he had the calf with him. He found he could tell what was going to happen in the future as long as he kept the calf in his posession. He went up to the priest and he told him not to read Mass next day or when the Elevation of the Host would come he would die. The priest never minded his warning but next day during Mass at the Elevation a party of soldiers broke into the church took the priest captive and killed him. They also passed the servant boy and killed him and the calf and they ate the calf.
