   at first there were only small windows in it& no spire but later Jane Countess of Belvedere got larger ones put in to match the ones in the spire.

   Ten years after the people got a wall put round the churchyard & it cost £6 10 shillings.

   When ever the people wanted a subscription they put 6 and a half pence on every acres of land in the parish which was about 2,000 acres.

   In winter the Austin's used to sell turf at 10 pence a box and the Somers who were candle makers sold 80 pound of candles at 8 pence a pound all for the use of the church.
   The spire was not up until after 1810.

   Mr. Boyd Rochfort presented a font in August 1886 the parishioners and friends put up the Lecturn in memory of George Augustus Rochfort Middleton Park for his goodness in re-roofing the church.
