    Pampooties.
    Pampooties were made of sheep skin with the woolly side in and the skin out. These boots were made in the homes of the people. They are still made and worn in Galway and in the Aran Islands and are very comfortable. Because they have a lot of sheep and they won't slip on the rocks.
    Mrs. Payne had a pair of pampooties, the sole was cut in the shape of her foot, then the sides were stitched to the sole and they made a beautiful pair of pampooties for her for the house.
    These boots keep you very warm in winter when the frost and snow is out.
