- In the townsland of Drumcamogue in the parish of Comly, there once lived a man named James Kane. With some companions he went digging for gold in a moat in his fields one night. During the course of their digging operations "they were disturbed" (this is the vague expression used the old people.) While they were gathering up their implements prepatory to making a hurried departure, James Kane remarked "Well whatever is afther us I am carrying this much anyhow," thereupon throwing a shovel of loose clay into a canvas bag. They ran home, and when James entered his home in a lather of cold sweat, his wife jokingly asked what he had brought. "Oh, wisha look at it there in the bin" says James.
