- There are three tailors in Dromcollogher. All of them have tailors workdays, and always do the work at home. In former days tailors used to go around to the farmers houses, and make clothes for the family. In those times (clothes) cloth or tweed was made and the thread spun locally. The wollen mills nearest to us, where all these tweeds were made, are known as Coolbane mills near Freemaunt. Most of the people of our district often wore these tweeds made in these mills, and it was very good tweed.
