- This game may be played by any number of persons. It is played in the following manner.
A stone about a foot square and about eight inches thick, is placed on a level patch of ground. This stone is called a "Granny". Then a line is drawn about five yards from the stone. Every player provides himself with a round kind of stone, about the size of a goose egg. This is known as a "duck".
Everything is now ready for the game to start. All the players assemble to the base line. Each player throws his "duck" to the "Granny" and the player whose "duck" is farthest away from the "granny" has to put his "duck" on the "granny" and stand on guard while the(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
