- Mrs Moynihan of Doire, Cullen made candles. She had a long iron mould. She put a thread in the middle of the mould. She then poured melted tallow into the mould and allowed it to cool.
There was once a man living in our house named Tom Sheehan who carried on weaving. He had a machine called a loom. People around the district would bring in the thread and he would make tweeds and blankets from it. He carried on until he was getting old and he never did any more work then.
