Nothing Known in district re- "Centre Fire"
There was but one door in South or Sunnyside of house. The Bolt was made by the "Muinntear an tighe Féin".
There were usually two tiny windows and in a great many cases there were no windows.
A Kind of Screen (made from closely perforated zinc) was used before glass for the windows.
Floors were all made of grey clay - but some few houses in the district were Flagged with large Flags
There are still Flagged floors used by the people of the district.
In one case there is still a grey clé floor used.
There was also a half door in each house - the idea being to let in light (no windows or very badly lighted with screen)
