  1. Some days are considered lucky others unlucky. In the locality It is considered Unlucky to start any work on Friday or Monday as then the work would be never finished.
    Time for Setting Oats:-
    It is supposed to be very lucky to set oats "idir lá le Pádraigh agus an chéad lá d'Abrán". If set during that time one is according to local tradition sure to reap an abundant Crop
    Unlucky time for Killing fowl etc:-
    It is also considered very unlucky to Kill FOR FOOD a Cow, pig, sheep, goat, hen, goose, or duck on Monday or Friday. If Killed on those days the meat will sure get a bad taste and prove quite unwholesome.
    Visiting the sick:-
    It is not right according to local tradition to visit a sick person on Fridays.
