   Bill's hand was cured by the time that the Dr's ten days were up.
   Some time after when passing thr Maryboro, he called in Dr Jacob to show him his hand. Dr of course was surprised and had to be told the whole story. He told Bill that she must have been "an old witch". However he is said to have given Bill 2/6 for telling him the cure.
   Now some time after this "Cousin"Patterson died. Bill hearing this went to the wake dressed in a coat of sheep skin and a cap of hare skin with the two ears of it protruding over his forehead.
   On arrival in the kitchen he terrified the people with his appearance and more so when he sat down and sang a song of 24 verses. He then moved gently up the stairs to the corpse room and looking at "Cousin" Patterson burst into tears. When his grief was spent he came down the stairs, bid the people "Good Night and went home.

   There were several families of Pattersons in the district (so this family of them which consisted of 3 brothers got ( how i don't know) the nic names "Cousin Patterson") Bill Gaynor was supposed to be reared around Baureigh somewhere near the present Peter Beehan's house. Bordiven.
