- In a moate in a field (called Móin Ella) owned by Mr James Bergin of North Grove there is supposed to be a treasure buried. The family of Forresters or Fosters who formerly lived there used to have "cards" going on at night and the ramblers going home often saw "lights" around this moate. There are Fairies in this place also. They have been seen playing hurling matches and a man named Sawyer once found a ball belonging to them. He brought it home. At some time his house was nearly burned down and thinking that the Fairy Ball had something got to do with it, he put is back where he found it.
This treasure is supposed to be in an iron box with two grey hounds standing on top of it on guard.
