- (2)There are four graveyards in the parish, namely, Kilbonane, Listry, Milltown Abbey and the White Church. All the graveyards are shaped almost square. There are ruins in Kilbonane, Milltown Abbey and the White Church. The ruin in Kilbonane is the ruin of a church. It is roofless and ivy-covered. It was destroyed by the Cromwellian soldiers and they battered it from the foundation. Many people are buried in the ruin. In the ruin there is a stone slab with ogham writing on it. The ogham writing translated to English is, "On the left-hand edge is stone of Idan, son of Aedlon, On the right-hand edge is Domnegen, Descendant of Bidan." On the face is an inscription in two lines. "Not, let it be so, he makes it but let him contrive it. Thus Baidagni." The stone slab is very valuable, and many people come to see it. There is also a ruin in Milltown Abbey. It is the ruin of a monastery. There is a story following Milltown Abbey. In ancient days there lived a man who owned a large sum of money, and when he died his money was buried with him.
