When seagulls assemble on the land it is also a sign of stormy weather. When the swallows fly high in the air it is a sign of fine weather. When they fly low it is a sign of bad weather. When the wind is from the west, the south or the south-west rain may be expected. An easterly wind usually brings snow. When the wind is from the north it is a sign that cold dry weather is to come.
