to take from his castle anything they pleased.
The boys then told him their story and immediately he had the Steed of Bells brought from his stable. The four bade farewell to the Knight who was grieved on their departure, and set out on their homeward journey with the steed.
On approaching their fathers castle they got the steed to ring the bell. The lady in the attic no sooner heard it than she threw herself from her window and got killed.
They lived happily ever after and if they did not that one way.
Thomas Fleming, Dulague, Castleisland was told this story 60 years ago by Donaf Flynn one of his fathers workmen. The following are a collection of stories which he heard from different people about the same time.
