    A plough is used except on rocky land where the spade has to be used.
    Wooden ploughs were used in the district about thirty years ago.
    Some are still used in the district and are used for digging the furrows between the ridges.
    The spades are bought in a shop.
    The seed potatoes are first selected, they are then split, each potatoe is cut into small pieces leaving two or more eyes according to its size in which they buds will grow.
    Lime is thrown on them to preserve them until they are stuck in the ground
    Every two farmers join together to do the ploughing as two horses are required.
    About three weeks or a month after they are stuck
