- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)cut a hawthorn bush which was growing on this fort. He wanted it to place in a gap. The next night at about nine o'clock this man went rambling to a neighbour's house, which was convenient to the fort. The man in order to reach the house had to cross the fort. As he was crossing it he felt very queer in himself. After some time he heard the rattling of chains on every side of him. He stood and looked around him, but he could see nothing. He tried to walk, but instead of walking he thought he was tumbling over pits of potatoes. He was in a terrible plight and he did not know what to do. At last after about two hours he reached the other side of the fort. He was worn out and had to sit down. It was about twelve o'clock then and the people in the neighbouring(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
