    Hide and go seek,
    The man is asleep,
    The butcher, the baker, the candle stick maker
    They all jumped out a rotten potato. Whoever is potato has to cover his head and the rest go in hide. Then he has to search for them. Whoever is caught has to cover his head again and they keep at this all the time.
    Another game we play is the hawk and the chickens. One sits down and blowing a fire and the rest go around. They say "Chickey my clock, my clock, I sold my butter milk every drop. If I had more I would sell it and score. This is the way my butter milk goes". Then the hawk gets up and he says to the mother of the chickens, "Did you see chickens and where?" The mother says "I did not" and she would have them behind her back at the same time. The hawk tries to catch them and if he catches them beats them.
    Fox and geese is a game we play in winter nights. Some one would get a copy and a pencil and make nine boxes in the paper with the pencil. Then he puts a goose in one box and the other one puts a fox in another box and sometimes one of them gets a row geese or a row of foxes and that one
