- There is a holy well in Derrycrag and it is called "St Richards Well." There is another well in "Athanass" as it is called "At Ann's." People go to Derrycrag on the three Saturdays in July. There are devotions there every year. The people go around it three times kissing a large stone every time they go around it. Money is put into a large box there and there is a certain cure in the water. Some people drink a cup of the water out of the well. People put up flowers and hang a rag up on a bush beside the well.
