- Cattle, sheep, horses, goats, pigs and asses are the commonest farm animals in this locality, while the commonest domestic animals are :- dogs and cats.
All people have different names on their cows. some call them after their colours such as :- The White Cow, The Red Cow and "The Black Cow". Others call them after the cam the cow or calf is bought from or the place she came from.
When people are driving cows an calves the generaly say "How! How!"
The house in which the cows are put is called the cow-house or the byre. Most of the houses are thatched but some are slated.
Some of the local people tie their cows with chains which they put around their necks while more put their cow's heads between two poles which are called bales. The first is called chaining and the later is called baling.
The house in which the horses is kept is the stable. The stables are not always thatched either. There is a manger in the stable which is filled with hay every night and morning. Names are seldom put on horses.
The house in which hens are kept is called the hen-house. It si thatched with a roust which the hends climb on at night. hens are set at all times of the year
